Food: Blandness parading as sushi
Sushi Boy tries to sell itself on variety, but quantity never replaces quality. Their three most popular dishes - Sushi Combos, Chicken Teriyaki Bowls and Salmon & Avocado Rolls - fall flat with an overriding, concerning theme of freshness issues. Food complaints aren't limited to off-tasting sushi. The lack of flavors across dishes curtails the appeal of what should have been commendable for the range of items in their menu.
Great Value
Inexpensive, mind boggling bargain prices for decent tasting food.
Bad Taste
Food blandness and underwhelming dishes led to many disappointments and complaints.
Top 3 dishes at Sushi Boy
- 1
Sushi Combos 🏆
Fresh and delicious sushi with favorable pricing and swift service.
- 2

- 3

Vibe: Ambiance of faded nostalgia
Sushi Boy's ambiance only serves to accentuate its culinary flaws. The interior is reminiscent more of a fast food joint than a sushi restaurant, providing a grungy, run down backdrop to an already subpar meal. Outdoor seating is available, but prepare to contend with smoking fellow patrons, which only presents another dent in an already strained dining experience.
Bad Ambiance
Grungy, run down, like a fast food joint, detracts from dining.
Perks: Service shines through the grime
One bright spot in an otherwise clouded experience is the service. The staff is friendly and professional, and the service quick. More, Sushi Boy offers party trays, embracing its appeal to groups. But the celebration ends where the parking starts, with limited spaces causing an unnecessary pre-dining stress for patrons.
Great Service
Friendly, professional staff, and quick service often highlighted.
Okay To Hear
Ambiance cool and relaxing but no specific mention of noise levels related.
Hard To Park
Limited spaces in shared lot, can make finding parking more difficult.
