Food: Blandness blandishing your buds
At Lucky Express Chinese, the culinary landscape is as creative as a blank canvas. Their 'ranked' dishes swing between being over-grilled Teriyaki Bowl to a less-sweet version of Orange Chicken, decidedly bland for most palates. The BBQ Pork, despite its acclaim, doesn't seem to make up for the overarching tastelessness that pervades most of their dishes. Inconsistent freshness quotient only furthers the less-than-stellar food experience here.
Great Value
Affordable, delicious, and great for value, especially with free meal deals.
Okay Quality
Inconsistent freshness at times but generally reasonable quality.
Top 3 dishes at Lucky Express Chinese
- 1
Teriyaki Bowl 🏆
The teriyaki chicken is grilled nicely with a tasty char.
- 2
Orange Chicken
Orange chicken tastes great, not too sweet, consistently enjoyed.
- 3
BBQ Pork
Delicious bbq pork regularly enjoyed by even picky eaters.
Vibe: Dimly-lit, dated dive
Patrons to Lucky Express Chinese are met with a vibe that seems to have been frozen in time, and not in a good way. Dated interiors exuding a cluttered feel paired with dim lighting don't necessarily pave way for a pleasant dining experience. This is definitely not the place to capture those coveted aesthetic social media photos.
Bad Ambiance
Slightly cluttered, dated feeling, and dim lighting noted negatively.
Perks: Limited parking, limited patience
Among what could be considered 'perks' at Lucky Express Chinese, limited parking definitely leaves the customers disgruntled. The adverse situation, however, doesn't end there. Rude staff hurriedly rushing through service, couple that with an almost inedible food on the table, and you have yourself a less than delightful dining episode.
Bad Service
Staff rude, rushes, service bad and almost inedible food noted by customer.
