Food: Portion sizes impress, taste doesn't
The three key dishes that ought to redeem this venue at Italy's Little Kitchen can barely manage a whimper. Despite the warm fluffiness of the Focaccia Bread, the richness of the Chicken Marsala and the perfect al-dente preparation of Frutti Di Mare Pasta, a uniform gripe among patrons seems to center around a lackluster, bland taste. And though the portions are astonishingly generous, the culinary feats of freshness and variety seem to have suffered a sad blow.
Great Value
Great food at fair prices, offering excellent value for money.
Okay Taste
Some experienced good food and service, but others found it mediocre and bland.
Bad Variety
The dishes here are completely hit or miss, lacks consistency.
Top 3 dishes at Italy's Little Kitchen
- 1
Focaccia Bread 🏆
The focaccia is lauded for its warm, fluffy inside, and perfect crust.
- 2
Chicken Marsala
Tender chicken, rich flavorful sauce, perfect with mushrooms and pasta.
- 3
Frutti di Mare Pasta
Abundance of seafood, perfectly al dente pasta, and delightful sauce.
Vibe: Clamorous chaos, no charm
Though it's billed as cozy and perfect for date nights, the vibe at Italy's Little Kitchen disappoints more often than not. The restaurant's ambiance takes a hit with cramped quarters, aggravating noise and untidy aspects that take away from the dining experience. And while the wine selection scrapes through with a 'decent' rating, it leaves plenty of room for enhancement.
Okay For Dates
Some find it suitable for both dates and family dinners.
Bad Ambiance
Cramped spaces, noise, and dirty aspects detracted from dining mood.
Perks: Lapses in service and comfort
What starts as an exercise in limited parking and a challenging hunt for reservations, culminates into an experience beset with slow and unresponsive service. The loud kitchen and street noise make it strenuous to hold a conversation, while the outdoor seating—dingy and in disrepair—does nothing to uplift the dining experience. Adding salt to injury, the restaurant’s small space isn’t well-suited for sizeable groups.
Great For Kids
Children's menu available, great for family dining and kid-friendly atmosphere.
Okay To Reserve
Busy times require reservations, but the process is not detailed.
Bad Service
Service slow, unresponsive, long waits, inattentive, and staff can be rude.
