Food: Great for a diet, pack a snack
Jar dishes up its signature pot roast that melts in your mouth. The prime ribeye hits the bulls-eye of flavors. The unique, sweet taste of the appetizer with purple yams packs an unexpected punch. However, the creativity, taste, and variety fall flat while the portions and freshness sit on the fence.
Okay Quality
Food quality varies; some dishes impress while others fall short of expectations.
Not Creative
Food uninspired, bland, and boring, lacking creativity or originality
Top 3 dishes at Jar
- 1
Jar's Signature Pot Roast 🏆
Tender, flavorful beef with perfectly softened vegetables; melt-in-your mouth delight.
- 2
Prime Ribeye
Most reviews rave about the perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful prime ribeye.
- 3
Appetizer with Purple Yams
The purple yams, with their sweet unique flavor, impressed many diners.
Vibe: Ambiance scores but misses buzz
The restaurant charms with a cozy, stylish retro-modern decor, making it a perfect choice for romantic date nights. The expansive wine list and delectable cocktails get a thumbs up. However, the music selection is discordant and the dim and outdated decor needs a facelift.
Great Drinks
Extensive, quality wine list and creatively crafted, delicious cocktails praised.
Bad To Entertain
Music selection odd and not fitting for the restaurant
Perks: Noise and parking - deal breakers
The ease of reservations and versatile venue satisfies both families and business types, and the restaurant accommodates large groups efficiently. On the flip side, the high noise levels, perplexing parking situation, cluttered outdoor dining experience, and poor service take away from an otherwise pleasant experience. The host's behavior towards service animals left a sour taste as well.
Great For Diets
Servers and kitchen are very accommodating to vegan and allergy needs.
Okay To Reserve
Ease of booking and occasional waits balanced with generally positive reservation experiences.
Hard To Park
Street parking hard to find, residential areas permit-only, valet needed
