Food: Blunted taste buds & heavy wallets

A slump in creative juices was plainly evident in the mundane, almost formulaic menu that could be spotted in any chain restaurant. Taste, or the lack thereof, belied the visually appealing dishes, with patrons lamenting about their meal swinging wildly between the extremes of undercooked to being painfully overcooked. Ominous descriptions of staleness didn't help to salvage the affair either, raising an alarm over freshness. The hole in the pocket after the meal was another a sore point. The delightful surprise of hearty portion sizes and variety offered a solitary ray of sunshine in an otherwise gloomy panorama.

Vibe: Vivacious buzz plagued by discomfort

On the surface, Lumberyard seemed to pulse with life. Live music added to the hip and lively bar, likely to draw in those dedicated patrons yearning for their poison of choice. However, the ambiance suffered due to an onslaught of acoustics that seemed bent on impeding any chances of audible conversation, while the chilly and dim atmosphere all but snuffed any embers of romance for couples chasing a date night. Further dampening the vibe, any attempt to snatch a view was defeated by an unwelcome sun glare.

  • Great Drinks

Extensive wine list and craft cocktails frequently highlighted as exceptional.

  • Bad For Dates

Excessive noise, overcrowding, reducing privacy and comfort for dates.

Perks: Invited confusion amidst scarce parking

While the ease of reservation and options for different dietary preferences are noteworthy, and the outdoor seating and family-friendly setting are commendable, the overall perks of dining at Lumberyard felt akin to navigating an obstacle course. The seemingly endless loop to discover a parking spot was both an exercise in futility and patience. The noise invading the space indoors matched the chaos outdoors and was quite the conversation dampener. Service, or absence at best, rounded off the flaws with an uninspiring slowness, inattentiveness, and pretentious display of professionalism.

  • Great For Pets

Patio is very dog-friendly, staff are welcoming, great for pets.

  • Okay Outdoor

Outdoor seating offers ambiance and pet-friendly options, some minor issues.

  • Bad Service

Service frequently mentioned as slow, inattentive, and lacking professionalism.
