Food: Inventive getup with delectable taste
The simplicity of the Burrito Machaca, Chili Verde Enchilada and Rice and Beans, belies the blast of flavors packed within - a result of fresh ingredients, homemade authenticity, and a splash of creativity. The ample portions and wide variety complement the affordable pricing, although the 'wow' factor in taste is amiss for some.
Great Value
Affordable, excellent food, and superb service widely appreciated.
Top 3 dishes at Hacienda La Joya
- 1
Burrito Machaca 🏆
Flavorful machaca, perfectly scrambled eggs, loved red and wonder sauces.
- 2
Chili Verde Enchilada
Tender, flavorful pork with a delicious, well-balanced verde sauce.
- 3
Rice and Beans
The rice and beans were carefully cooked, creamy, flavorful, and satisfying.
Vibe: Outmoded decor subtracting ambience
The dated decor contributes to a less impressive interior, making it less suitable for a date night. Also, its cramped area combined with crowding doesn't make it the best place for a comfortable dine-in experience.
Okay Ambiance
Atmosphere homey with regulars, though decor is simple, nice.
Bad For Dates
Too crowded at times, negatively affecting the dining experience for dates.
Perks: Ordinary parking with displeasing reservations
Parking is satisfactory yet nothing extraordinary. However, customers have been frustrated with denied entry despite open seating and operating hours. On a positive note, the restaurant is lauded for its superb service, including friendly and attentive staff, and a decent kids menu.
Great For Diets
Great modifications for vegetarians, well-cooked sautéed veggies.
Okay To Park
Adequate parking available, though not particularly highlighted as special.
Bad Outdoor
Packing up early despite available outdoor seating deters overall experience.
