Food: Açaí bowl nightmare

Grainy texture, not something one expects from Ubatuba Açaí's acclaimed Açaí Bowl. Add to it the freezer burned aftertaste, it’s a far cry from the fresh toppings and authentic açaí flavor promised. The Pepperoni Empanada, while paired good with chimichurri sauce, couldn't salvage the setback caused by the Açaí Bowl.

Perks: Cramped parking, seating and service

Nothing spoils a trip to a restaurant like the quest for a parking spot. Ubatuba Açaí's tiny lot and metered street spaces do exactly that. Cramped outdoor seating adds to the disappointment with a mere bench as the option. On top of all, disinterested staff providing terrible service turns the dining experience into an ordeal.
