Food: Mediocre taste with decent variety
Smitty's grill presents a confounding array of dishes. The skillet cornbread and potato chips and the meatloaf special are indeed special. Interestingly, their creamed spinach - a side - is also in the top three, offering a different edge to the standard fare. Unfortunately, the creativity appears to be somewhat lacking and the taste, freshness, and value aren't exactly winning diners over. The portions and variety do deliver though, so it's not a complete miss.
Large Portions
Generous portion sizes frequently praised, offering good satiety and value.
Okay Taste
Experience varies, with both good food and areas needing improvement noted.
Bad Value
Mediocre and overpriced fare fails to justify the high costs charged.

Vibe: Cozy setting with buzz issue
The ambiance of Smitty's Grill is praised for being cozy and romantic with great lighting and decor, enhanced by classic, relaxing jazz music. The spot is perfect for a date night, with high-quality wine and cocktails. However, the buzz is somewhat hindered by criticisms of being antiquated and too dark in certain areas.
Great Drinks
Extensive, high-quality wine and cocktail selections praised by patrons.
Okay For Dates
Suitable for dates, but can be too loud or busy at times.
Negative Buzz
Feels antiquated, not picturesque or trendy; often criticized as dated.
Perks: Convenient with noisy distraction
There's plenty of convenience at Smitty's Grill, with free valet parking, ease of reservations, and praised outdoor seating. The restaurant comfortably accommodates groups and has a somewhat mixed bag service record. However, the noise level is decidedly high which detracts from the overall experience. Lack of vegetarian options and non-kid-friendly vibe also pull down its score.
Great Outdoor
Spacious, well-adapted, cozy outdoor seating consistently praised for comfort.
Okay For Groups
Good for groups, though can be crowded; reservations are recommended.
Bad For Kids
Restaurant skews towards older clientele, not exactly kid friendly.
