Food: Bland mimicry of food
Shakers clings to tradition but leaves a sour taste. The 'popular' Portuguese sausage and eggs along with the 'super tender' fried steak dinner taste like a forgery of real meat - either being bland or worse, burnt. Factor in the scanty portions and unnecessary price tag, justifies the claims of it being 'standard'. Despite boasting a 'typical diner fare', the lack of authenticity makes the selection less than impressive.

On the surface, Shakers charms with a pretense of a retro diner ambiance which is quickly revealed to be mockingly shabby. Even worse, if you intend to impress your date, take a detour. The overpriced drinks don't help improve the situation either. Accompanied with the chaotic noise from the nearby parking lot, settling in Shakers feels like surviving a cheap sitcom.

Shakers could even surprise with its dreary outdoors right by the unsettlingly noisy parking lot lacking both privacy and decorum. A large gathering would find waiting inevitable, contradicting the overall comprehensive 'ease'.
