Food: Tasteless bites beyond belief
Despite the positive talk about the Steamed Lava Salted Egg Yolk Bun, Truffle Shu Mai, and Shrimp Paste with Chinese Donut, Chef Tony Dim Sum seems to have missed the point. The creativity used in presentation and intriguing truffle blends just aren't making up for the underwhelming and bland flavours. It's regrettable when fresh ingredients fall short, leaving an undesirable taste in the mouth. The small portions fail to compensate for the disappointing flavors and steep prices.
Okay Taste
Food generally good; some find it delicious, others not memorable.
Low Quality
Some reviews indicate ingredients weren't fresh and lacked flavor.
Top 3 dishes at Chef Tony Dim Sum

Steamed Lava Salted Egg Yolk Bun 🏆
Delicious, with perfectly oozing salty egg yolk; best in the area.
- 2
Truffle Shu Mai
Steamed to perfection with a flavorful and not overpowering truffle blend.
- 3
Shrimp Paste with Chinese Donut
Shrimp paste stuffing was very good; unique, crunchy, loved by many.
Vibe: Disturbingly noisy atmosphere
A clean space cannot save the dining experience when it's crowded and overwhelmingly noisy. The chatter makes the ambiance less inviting than necessary, and the bustling environment fails to drive a buzz, making the place not very popular amongst the masses. The vibe is less 'classic dim sum' and more 'chaotic Saturday market.'
Bad Ambiance
Ambiance disrupted by noisy, overcrowded space despite cleanliness.
Perks: Troublesome reservations and service
The convenience perks are nowhere to be found at Chef Tony Dim Sum. Getting a reservation feels like a lottery win with the daunting 11.5 hours of waiting. Once seated, the disturbance continues with kitchen noise. Large groups should brace for disappointing long waits and insufficient large tables. The slow, rude, and inattentive staff round up the underlying service issues.
Okay To Park
Parking is manageable even when busy, according to some diners.
Hard To Hear
Kitchen noise disrupts peaceful dining experience; customers found it disturbing.
